Herbs & Remedies | Medicinal Mushroom Workshop

We’re heading into the woods to meet some of the UK’s most abundant medicinal mushrooms. In this 4-hour, hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to confidently identify, harvest, and prepare them as both food and medicine, understand which extraction methods actually work, and explore the deeper side of fungi through tea ceremony and observation.

Date: Sunday, April 26th 2026, 12 - 4 pm
Location: Rosehip Eco, Ballindarg Farm by Forfar, DD8 1QA

What You’ll Experience

Guided by herbalists Wendy and Rose, you'll:

  • Walking the land to find common medicinal mushrooms in their natural habitat, learning how to identify them confidently and safely.
  • Clear guidance on what to harvest, what to leave, and how to forage in ways that respect the ecosystem and the future of the species.
  • Examine fresh and dried examples of the medicinal mushrooms and discover their health benefits.
  • Practical demonstrations of the most effective extraction methods that cut through media hype and misinformation so you can separate evidence-based use from marketing noise.
  • Tasting real food preparations made with medicinal mushrooms so you understand how they can be both nourishment and medicine.
  • A guided mushroom tea ceremony to connect with the consciousness of fungi and their role in the wider web of life.
  • A reflective drawing and observation practice to deepen your awareness and help you truly see what you are working with.
  • Space for questions, conversation, and honest discussion about how to use these mushrooms confidently for your own health.
